Jamie Todd

Jamie has the experience, judgement and charisma to entertain a variety of people by performing material ranging from old rock and roll to more current country music triggering precious old memories song after song.

As a young performer, Jamie and two of his high school friends formed the band “Some People’s Kids” and by 1973 he was prepared to join the top 40s show band “Hourglass”. Known for their outstanding harmonies, Hourglass went on to be arguably the most popular band on the circuit touring across Canada and into the States.  They recorded three albums, the last one with engineer Ken Freizen (Anne Murray, Gordon Lightfoot, Red Rider, Cowboy Junkies)

Jamie was also involved with the successful country band “Desert Dolphins” singing and playing bass and fiddle. “Here’s What They Say” by the Desert Dolphins went to #20 on the Canadian Country Music charts and a video was released on CMT (Country Music Television). Another hit, “Dynamite” hit the top 10!

Over the years, Jamie has had the honour of sharing the stage with music greats such as Dr. Hook and the Medicine Show, Rocky Howell (Major Hoople’s Boarding House), nine-time Country Guitarist of the Year Steve Piticco, Paul Chapman (CCMA Guitarist of the Year), The Drifters, Charley Pride and Peter Noone (Herman’s Hermits).
